What is?
An EDM Wire-cut machine uses a continuous thin electrically conductive wire as the electrode to cut profiles on the workpiece and this process is called wire cutting. The wire and the workpiece are submerged in a dielectric fluid and sparking takes place in the spark gap between the wire and the workpiece surface. Material from the workpiece is removed by the electro-thermal process.

Precautions and Tips for Using Wire Cut Machines
1. It is forbidden to press any button that is unknown or unfamiliar.
2. When moving the workbench manually or automatically, attention must be paid to the position of the molybdenum wire to avoid wire breaking due to interference between the molybdenum wire and the workpiece or tooling.
3. Inflammable and explosive materials shall not be placed near the machine tool to prevent accidents caused by discharge sparks due to insufficient supply during operation.
4. After turning on the processing power supply, it is not allowed to contact the two output terminals (bed and workpiece) of the pulse by hand or hand-held conductive tools at the same time to prevent electric shock.
